Canis Lupus Productions is a film and media production company focused on environmental storytelling and science-driven narratives. Through documentary filmmaking and real-world pilot projects, the organization explores the intersection of human development, technology, and ecological systems. Current initiatives include the development of a commercial studio campus in Humble, Texas, which is being used as a live demonstration site for responsible lighting practices and their impact on nocturnal invertebrate populations.
The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky are an enthusiastic group of citizens whoformed in March of 2020 through social media and Zoom. We work to educate thecitizens, businesses, and governments of Comal County to promote the long-termprotection and preservation of our Night Sky.We encourage municipalities (including extraterritorial jurisdictions), unincorporatedareas, neighborhoods, and businesses within Comal County to adopt, apply, andobserve sensible dark sky outdoor lighting practices. We do this through educationalpresentations and participation in community events across Comal County throughoutthe year.
The mission of DRC is to preserve and protect the Devils River and the lands within its watershed. DRC is committed to promoting the significance of the Devils River and ensuring this uniquely pristine water resource remains a natural and scenic treasure for generations of Texans.
Our mission is to promote and encourage the preservation and protection of the Night Sky in Gillespie County and beyond; to support communities, businesses, and organizations within Gillespie County to obtain and sustain various Night Sky Friendly designations; and to provide education and information to citizens of Gillespie County of all ages in support of long term night sky preservation and light pollution abatement.
HCFNS promotes and encourages the protection and preservation of the Dark Sky, supports International Dark Sky Places within Hays Co., and educates the public about reducing light pollution.
