DarkSky Texas coordinates requests for guest speakers to present about various aspects of light pollution and dark skies to non-profits, businesses, clubs, conferences, and other groups in the state of Texas.

We also can tailor our presentation for your group.
Most presentations use a laptop, projector, and screen. Our speakers can bring whatever they need or use your equipment. Most presentations are 45-60 minutes and are designed for adult audiences. Please specify any additional requirements needed for your event and approximate audience size.
Speaker fee:
Although there is no charge for speakers, donations are appreciated in the form of honorariums and are used to support DarkSky Texas projects, activities, and goals.

Please complete and submit the Request a Speaker form below. We ask that you contact us as early as possible. We prefer scheduling three months in advance. This allows us to schedule an appropriate volunteer speaker to match your request.
